Friday, March 27, 2009
Keighley Town Council has joined forces with the Otley Town Partnership to bring a Farmer’s Market to Keighley for the first time . The event will be held on Sunday 19 April on Church Green between 9.00am and 1.00pm.
The market will provide a wide range of produce ranging from foodstuffs to crafted goods. A wonderful selection of good quality fresh and organic produce and products sourced as locally as possible will be available to the public.
Over 30 stalls will be selling game, poultry, Yorkshire beef, lamb, pork and even ostrich and buffalo as well as seasonal fruit and vegetables, eggs, home baking, bread, pies, fish, dairy produce, mushrooms, honey and honey based products.
There will be organic wines, fresh herbs, soups and sauces, preserves, plants, shrubs, hand crafted products and much more.
The market will be a great opportunity for people to benefit from home produced goods and will run throughout the year. It is hoped that the market will become a regular monthly date in Keighley’s diary and allow more people to visit and Love Keighley.
