Keighley hosts Sacred exhibition

An exhibition which was the British Library’s most successful exhibition to date has arrived in Keighley.
Sacred on Location, a unique and engaging programme explores the Christian, Jewish and Muslim faiths and sets out to bring the theme of faith to a wider audience.
The original exhibition was visited by over 200,000 visitors during its run at the British Library’s St Pancras site. These included Prince Charles, Prince Philip, Prince Moulay Rachid of Morocco, Prince Hassan of Jordan, former PM Tony Blair and ambassadors from 35 countries.
The exhibition comprises 11 display panels and a stand-alone interactive screen with specially developed “Turning the Pages” technology allowing visitors to virtually browse through page by page some of the most precious books and manuscripts held by the British Library.
They can also view the interactive "Wheel" - Elements of the Abrahamic Faiths.Class visits, story times and family activities will also be on offer.
The exhibition is on a national tour and has been on display in cities including Birmingham, Bristol, Leicester and Manchester. From Keighley it will move on to Leeds, Liverpool and Sunderland. It will run in Keighley until the 28th February.
