Shimla Spice restaurant has thrown its weight behind the Love Keighley campaign following a multi-thousand pound refurbishment programme.
Manager Faisal Hussain is backing the campaign to promote his home town, both to local people and to visitors. “Keighley is a vibrant town that is already attracting visitors from a wide area and we want people to be proud of their town,” he said.
Invited to attend the celebration of the refurbishment of the Shimla Spice restaurant were Keighley town mayor Margaret Ward and Deputy Mayor Ian Wilson with town Centre Manager Philip Smith.
The restaurant interior has been given an intimate new atmosphere The new look features new flooring and white leathered waiting lounge, stunning new chandeliers designed and handmade in America and black and white leather chairs and paintwork to create an overall theme.To compliment the changes new items have been added to the popular menu.
The refurbishment has played a key roll in helping Shimla to win the Keighley News restaurant of the year 2009. Manager Faizal Hussain said “We are very proud of what we have created here in Keighley. The restaurant has been designed to provide a high class dining experience which carries a certain aura that is no less than dining in any major city in England.
