Description
Keighley Blues Club, originally known as Spectrum Blues Club Keighley, is the longest established club of its type in the district.
Starting life in March 2005 at St. Anne's Catholic Social Centre, Keighley, it subsequently relocated to Keighley Cougars Hall Of Fame Bar in January 2009. Justifiably renowned as one of 'the' venues for both national and international acts to visit, this small (120 capacity), friendly establishment has consistently managed to 'punch above its weight' when booking acts thanks, in part, to the enthusiastic and knowledgeable audience which always makes for a great atmosphere.
Keighley Blues Club can boast visits by such notable UK performers as Dave Kelly and Gary Fletcher (both of 'The Blues Band' fame); Stan Webb's Chicken Shack; Steve Phillips (from 'The Notting Hillbillies' with Mark Knofler); Mike Sanchez (from 'Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings') and Chris Farlowe. International visitors have included the likes of Jake Walker & Mojo Buford (USA); Cajun Roosters (Germany) and Family Style (Italy).
